1. What are the Finance Department hours?

The Finance Department hours are 9:00AM to 4:00PM, Monday through Friday.

2. What does the term FISCAL YEAR mean?

Like many other governmental entities, Indian Head Park operates on an annual financial schedule, also known as "The Fiscal Year". The Fiscal Year for the Village of Indian Head Park begins May 1st and ends the following April 30th.

3. How does the Village Audit process work?

The Village is audited by an independent external auditing firm each year. Illinois Statute requires the Village of Indian Head Park to have an audit of the general financial statements performed by an independent Certified Public Accountant (CPA). The annual audited financial statements are available for public review online, or a hard-copy is always available for review at the Village Hall.

4. What is the difference between the Village Finance Manager and the Village Treasurer?

The Finance Manager is an employee of the Village, while the Village Treasurer is an elected position, that serves on the Village Board for a three year term, and must be a resident of Indian Head Park.

5. What is the Annual Budget?

Every year, the Village President and Board of Trustees review and approve the Village's Annual Budget. The Village Administrator and Finance Manager are instrumental in the compilation of the Budget, which establishes management's fiscal plan for the year and controls departmental outlays, fund expenditures, and capital purchases throughout the year. Copies of the Annual Budget can be obtained online, in person at the Village Hall, or requested by email from admin@indianheadpark-il.gov
