History

Blackhawk Park was a result of a grant from the Illinois Department of Conservation. Prior to the grant, the area was undeveloped. Blackhawk Park became the first publically owned recreation area in the Village.

Blackhawk Park has been the meeting place for the Village's Family Fun Nights and Concerts in the Park series.

Park Rules

• No Alcohol is allowed on park grounds.
• Your leashed pets are welcome, but please pick up after them before leaving.
• Except for disabled or handicapped persons, use of a motor propelled vehicle of any kind is prohibited in Blackhawk Park.
