The Village of Indian Head Park pridesd itself on having the whole community feel as though you are in a forest like setting, and this is no different for the parks in the Village. Learn more about our beautiful facilities below.
Arrowhead Memorial Point
Location
Arrowhead Point is located at the Southeast corner of Wolf and Plainfield Road intersection.
History
The Village has obtained this land through a grant in 2002. Indian Head Park maintains this property, but it has not yet been developed.Blackhawk Park

Blackhawk Park is located on Cascade drive in the Acacia Subdivision, just one block east of Acacia Drive.Hours

The park sits on 5 acres of land. There are over a mile in walking/jogging trails, and a gazebo available.History
Blackhawk Park was a result of a grant from the Illinois Department of Conservation in 1991. Prior to the grant, the land was undeveloped, and under utilized. When the park opened in 1991, it became the first publicly owned recreation are in the Village. Park Rules

- Pick up after leashed pets
- Motorized vehicles prohibited (except for disabled and/or handicapped persons)
Sacajawea Park / Kelli's Playground
Sacajawea Park was a result of land donated by a private property owner adjacent to the park, an Open Space Acquisition Grant from the Illinois Department of Conservation, and various monetary contributions and donations from the public.
The park further developed through the efforts of fundraising events hosted by various local community organizations, as well as a personalized brick pathway.
