Building Permits
A building permit is required prior to starting any building, construction, addition, demolition or remodeling affecting the structural integrity of a building. A "Guide to Obtaining a Building Permit" is available at the Municipal Facility or by download, and includes the most current building codes adopted by the Village. A building permit application can be found here.
In 2008, the Village Board approved Ordinance #08-4, amending the Indian Head Park Municipal Code regarding certain fees and charges which requires contractors performing work in the Village of Indian Head Park to complete a form (which can be found here) and pay the appropriate annual business license fee as listed on the form.
J.U.L.I.E.
Before digging, call J.U.L.I.E. (Joint Utility Locating Information for Excavators) to locate all underground utilities in that area.

Zoning Department
Rezoning of a property, unattached structures and special uses may require a public hearing and variance.
The Planning and Zoning Commission Members meet the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m.
